About the client

Our client is a century-old, family-owned German engineering group — a global leader in high-tech filling, processing and packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical/biotech, consumer, nonwovens and life-science industries. With approximately 3,000 employees across 20+ locations worldwide and an export share above 85%, they are investing significantly in their Pune engineering centre to bring technical capability closer to fast-growing Asian and global markets.

The role

You will own the process and air-handling engineering for isolator and containment systems — from energy and mass balances and P&ID development through supplier coordination, manufacturing inspections and customer-site qualification. This is a core process engineering role. Reports to the Engineering Director or Group Leader.

What you need

  • Degree or Diploma in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience designing Air Handling Units (AHUs) for cleanroom environments, including energy/mass balances, P&IDs, step sequences and parameter lists. Note: cleanroom-grade AHU design is a distinct and specialised discipline — experience limited to standard building or general pharmaceutical HVAC is not sufficient.
  • Design calculations for air-handling systems: pressure drop, airflow and filtration sizing.
  • Supplier coordination experience: drawing reviews, manufacturing inspections and acceptance tests.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom and isolator standards: ISO 14644, GMP Grade A–D and VHP decontamination cycles.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical cleanroom HVAC systems: HEPA filtration, pressure cascades, and temperature and humidity control.
  • Proficiency in SAP and SolidWorks or PTC Creo Elements for data and drawing management.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Experience qualifying or commissioning AHU systems at customer sites (IQ/OQ/PQ familiarity).
  • Exposure to pharma manufacturing environments: CDMOs, API plants or vial/syringe fill lines.

Benefits

  • Earned Leave 15 days | Public holidays 12 days | Sick leave 12 days | Casual leave 9 days, per year
  • Private Health Insurance up to 10 lac INR | Accident Insurance up to 24 lac INR | Group Term Life Insurance
  • 45-hour work week (9 hrs × 5 days)
